Is Homosexuality in the Bible? It's complicated: linguistic nuance as well as a host of assumed and unspoken historical, social, economic, political, and religious contexts of biblical passages may be blurred, twisted or lost entirely in translation. Does the Bible mention the concept of homosexuality as we understand it in the 21st century? 

Michele Scott is the pastor serving with Olivet Presbyterian and with Christ Church Presbyterian in Cedar Rapids. An ordained minister in the United Church of Christ, she holds a Bachelor of Arts from Coe College, a Master of Arts from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in Hebrew & Semitic Studies, a Master of Divinity from Andover-Newton/Yale Divinity, and a Master of Business Administration from Mt. Mercy University. She has taught at Emmanuel College (Boston), Minot State University, Coe College, and Kirkwood College. She retired from nearly thirty years in bi-vocational ministry when she retired from Rockwell Collins in 2019. She lives under the beneficent care of five felines.
