Unity CR Minister

After serving as a "temporary" minister Rev. Thelma J. Hembroff was hired as our senior full-time minister in the summer of 2001, and was officially installed in August 2001 - the 25th anniversary of her ordination from Unity School of Religious Studies. She has held ministerial positions most recently in Maine, and before that in Memphis, TN. Rev. Thelma has begun the process of reconnecting Unity CR to its roots and energizing the congregation. She participates in the community and church to provide inspiration, healing, and spiritual awareness. She offers classes (see Activities) and meets regularly with all teams that make up Unity CR. Her lessons on Sunday provide a practical, spiritual, upbeat approach to daily life.

Rev. Thelma has extensive training in spiritual counseling. Through the practical application of the Unity Principles, prayer, and meditation, individuals are empowered from within to heal through their challenges. Any special desire can be discussed with the minister during the spiritual counseling session. Tools to assist in this process may be books, classes, and services at Unity CR. When appropriate referrals will be made to agencies or psychologists.
