FROM THE BOARD PRESIDENT

I am really honored to serve as the new president of the Unity Board of Trustees. I look forward to continue serving Unity. I want to personally thank Carl Swanson for his years of leadership. As we start a new year, what are a few of our priorities for 2008? The most pressing matter is in finding a new minister/spiritual leader for Unity of Cedar Rapids. The process continues and the plan is for a decision to be made by the end of March. This is an extremely important decision, one that must be made with prayer, careful thought and input from all congregants. Second, we have an opportunity to further develop our property around our pond area. We continue to look for ways to improve this area, which has great potential as a garden. Finally, many have asked if another event, such as the Black Sheep concert we had last September, is in the works. We will be discussing this in the coming months. Please feel free to let me know if you have any ideas or suggestions. I want to hear for each and every one of you.
