Our outreach ministry is about serving the Cedar Rapids Community in a variety of ways.  We put into practice the divine Law of Circulation.  This law states:  “to realize and maintain divine order, substance must have both an inlet and an outlet in consciousness, and must be kept moving….  Everyone must receive freely and give as freely as they receive.”

Outreach activities include but are not limited to the following:

• Food drives to assist local food banks
• Blood drives to assist the Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center
• Tanager Place Angel Tree, donating Christmas gifts to children
• Toy drive, where the children of Unity donate unused toys to children at the Henry Davison Youth Center 
• Adopt-a-Highway clean-ups 
• Circulation Days, an annual open garage sale, making available clothing and household items to the general public

• UnityCR T-shirts: Help us manifest Unity Center of Cedar Rapids T-shirts to demonstrate our presence in the greater community. Let us know if you want to lead or contribute ideas to this project.
• Your own projects: If you have a community social service project that you would like to work on with Unity friends, let us know.  We would especially like to have Unity groups participate in local non-profit fundraiser events such as walk-a-thons.  We will wear our Unity t-shirts and share our spirit with the community!
