PRAYER
The Unity movement was founded in prayer. Co-founder Myrtle Fillmore used prayer and meditation to heal herself of life-long physical dis-ease. Her 
husband, Charles Fillmore followed suit after observing the results of Myrtle's work. At UnityCR, we serve our congregation through a variety of prayer ministries and activities.
Each year, UnityCR demonstrates the power of prayer through a 40-hour Prayer-a-Thon. During that time, individuals participate in various forms of prayer, from meditation to singing and drumming. Their prayer time is supported through pledges, raising money for UnityCR as well as a designated recipient of our tithe.
PRAYER TREE:
Our Prayer Tree has been in place for many years. Requests are confidential and sent via an email chain using first names only. This ministry, consisting of over 25 power pray-ers, will hold your request in prayer for 30 days. Our Prayer Tree members are trained in Unity’s Affirmative Prayer model. After 30 days, all prayer requests are also mailed to Silent Unity at Unity’s world headquarters. There, your request is held in prayer for another 30 days. SILENT UNITY:
Located at Unity’s world headquarters in Lee’s Summit, Missouri, Silent Unity is a 24-hour prayer ministry. You may phone Silent Unity at 1.800.669.7729. You can also email your prayer request to Silent Unity . Please take advantage of the outstanding prayer consciousness offered by Silent Unity.
PRAYER ROOM:
Each Sunday, a member of the Prayer Room Ministry Team serves in the Prayer Room, praying one-on-one with anyone who requests prayer. The prayer room is open to all following our Sunday Service.
PRAYER BOX:
In our sanctuary sits the sacred prayer box. Any time during office hours (and on Sunday mornings), you may drop your prayer request in the prayer box. These prayers are also forwarded to Silent Unity after 30 days.
DIAL-A-PRAYER:
This is a 24-hour prayer service provided by UnityCR. You may call our prayer line at (319) 393-6837 to hear an inspirational message and leave your prayer request with us.
MEMBER PRAYER CONTACT:
Once per quarter, each UnityCR member receives a phone call from a member of the Member Prayer Contact ministry team. We check in with you, offering prayer, compassion and a friendly, caring voice.
MEDITATION SERVICE:
Each Wednesday from 6:00 to 6:30 p.m., we offer a meditation service. This is a delicious mid-week respite for your soul. Each week you can experience a sacred meditation with one of our dozen or so skilled meditation leaders.
