Music is an integral part of Unity's spiritual service. In the early years a soloist sang special music as part of the service. Currently, the choir sings at special Sunday Services. For other Sundays, the music director draws upon an array of talented instrumentalists and vocalists from within our own congregation, the local community, and across the nation. . In 1982 Carol Browne became the first music director and she was succeeded in order by Jan Armentrout, P.J. Slobojan, Nina Swanson, and Elena Nichols.

In the summer of 2001 Nancy Dearborn became our "Music Coordinator", and Nina Swanson resumed a primary role in the music program.   Nancy has attracted some of the best of the area talent to perform at our Sunday services.  Nina, a talented vocalist and piano musician, has developed both youth and adult choirs. Christmas cantatas and youth Christmas musicals became traditions.  A gospel choir, formed by Kathy Gregor, has made appearances at Sunday services in the last several years. 

Unity has been blessed with the most superb music to inspire us.  Please let the minister know if you would like to contribute your musical talents to Unity!
