The bookstore offers a comfortable environment for you to relax and explore our offerings. In addition to books, we also have other merchandise for sale, including CDs of our Sunday services. The book store is also used regularly by groups, such as Meta-Musings and Now Generation Unity. You may schedule the space for your gathering by contacting the office (393-5422).

Please drop in and browse. If you don't see a book there that you would like, let us know and we'll order it for you.

Join us for Coffee

Stop by Sacred Grounds & Books the hour before the 10 a.m. service for coffee (and often yummy treats!). It's a wonderful way to learn more about UnityCR and those who call UCR home!  Please join us.

BOOK REVIEWS By Janith Griffith
New from Unity Books, Messengers is a riveting novel about the urgent spiritual and political questions we face in the 21st Century. This book will leave you reconsidering your outlook on life and death-and why we are here. The book is an interesting look at near-death experiences, messages from angels, and how using faith, love, and compassion can bring civilization and cultures together and reverse the violence and hatred of the post-9/11 world.

Kitchen Table Wisdom by Rachel Naomi Remen, MD is her approach to healing the body, mind and spirit. The book consists of 80 short stories of the lives of people she encountered in her practice. She believes the power of telling of one's own struggles, or of hearing another's, brings a sense of connection and community, like that of sitting around a kitchen table with others who care. By reading these powerful stories, you will learn how others have found meaning in the challenges of pain, illness and loss. Each story can be read individually, perhaps as a daily devotion, or several can be read together. They appear under such headings as "Opening the Heart" or " Mystery and Awe." Reading a few aloud would be a gift to someone who is ill and finds it difficult to read. Each story will leave you feeling enriched.
