About Unity
Unity Center of Cedar Rapids, established in 1924, is a dynamic, loving congregation of approximately 300 members that welcomes people of all faiths and backgrounds. It is a center of positive, practical Christianity. Our mission is to provide spiritual awareness and share the wonder and joy of God’s love. We offer a 10 a.m. Sunday service with Youth Ministry. A special room is available for families with infants and toddlers to observe the service.
Unity Movement
UnityCR is part of the worldwide Unity movement, which was started in 1889 in Kansas City, Missouri, by Charles and Myrtle Fillmore. www.unityonline.org is an excellent resource to learn more about Unity, our beliefs, and our history.

Congregant Quote
"What do I love about UnityCR? The basic philosophy Unity embraces, which encourages my spiritual life and thereby grounds my physical existence. Reverend brenda's teachings each Sunday are based in her understanding of Unity Principles, her personal experience and seasoned by her sense of humor. There is a welcoming and caring atmosphere manifested by the Unity Cedar Rapids community. There seems an awareness at varying levels among us and a humble acceptance and rejoicing that we all live in and have within us our Creator's Light. This awareness helps me to see the face of God in my neighbor and in myself, and that vision nourishes my love for others and for myself. I am grateful to be a part of the Unity Community." — Mary Thoms
